The Requirements
To be a strong fit for the Maintenance Technician opportunity, you will need to have:- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

- Military experience could be a good fit.
- Some familiarity and experience with Allan-Bradley PLCs.
- Experience with low, normal and high-voltage electrical.
- Skill in machinery with lays and mills; welding / fabrication experience; plumbing; conveyors and general construction.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Technical understanding of machine and components.
- The ability to thrive in a small, fast-paced plant where you will wear multiple hats and where there's no segregation of duties (e.g. electrical, mechanical, pneumatic).
- Strong computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Ability to tackle tasks independently while also serving as a strong team member.
- Self-motivation and the ability to troubleshoot quickly and effectively.
- Your own set of hand tools.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to learn our systems and processes.
- Comfort with heights.
- A valid driver's license and ability to take DOT physical.
The Role
Your RoleReporting to the Maintenance Supervisor with a dotted-line to the Production Supervisor, as Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for handling equipment checks, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, continuous improvement and much more. Quick question for you - click here
Louisville is a sequencing and assembly plant with approximately 250 employees, and you’ll ensure that this equipment is performing properly and help minimize and eliminate downtime.
More specifically, your key activities will be to:
- Support production in reducing and eliminating equipment / tooling downtime and scrap utilizing good analytical methodologies. (Preventive / Predictive Maintenance and Spare Part Inventory). Quick question for you - click here
- Perform equipment / tooling and facilities preventive maintenance (PM) per schedule provided. Complete all documentation required for PM’s.
- Perform repairs as required, and document all activities to maintain objective of less than 30 minutes’ mean time to repair (MTTR).
- Assist in fabricating and implementing projects, as required.
- Maintain and monitor a healthy and safe work environment utilizing MSDS’s for the facility and all company, local, state and federal guidelines.
- Document all activities as required.
- Adhere to all company guidelines for Emergency Evacuation to ensure employee safety.
- Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management.
- Advise Department Manager of those situations that may pose a significant risk to the program, product assurance, facilities, and employee safety or customer satisfaction results.
- Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process & systems.
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or system.
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through the appropriate channels and verify implementation.
- Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency is corrected.
- Sign for waste manifests.

Keys to Success
To excel in this role you will be an experienced technician who can handle a variety of repairs, PM activities and much more. You’ll be the only Maintenance Technician on this shift, so you’ll need to have the ability to work independently and stay on top of your duties. At the same time, we promote a collaborative, team-oriented environment where you can expect to partner with a variety of key contacts including our Production Supervisors and Team Leads.As you've probably already gathered, our environment is different than that of other manufacturing or assembly plants. Our parts must be in our customer's nearby plant in just a few short hours. Limiting equipment downtime is critical. Delays can result in a tense, high-stress atmosphere because of the strong impact that a delay could have on production and ultimately on our customer. You will be proactive about PM and enjoy the challenge of quickly assessing and resolving problems.
